Salary: £60,000 per year
A long-standing, Sheffield based Engineering consultancy have a new opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer, due to internal promotion. With over 30 years experience in the Building Services industry, a business who prides themselves on the execution and comprehensive delivery of outstanding design solutions for a wide array of sectors, the role is offered with excellent employee benefits including flexible/hybrid working,
The role involves the following:
* Procuring work – negotiating agreements with customers/suppliers
* Identifying, controlling and monitoring variations (negotiating and defining additional scope, fee, timescales – as necessary)
* Management of medium to large projects
* Responsible for planning and predicting future resources, inclusive of setting up new projects
* Leading the delivery and scope of works
* Manage and oversee reviews of projects – critiques as necessary
* Supporting the overall project from procurement to development, reporting in to other senior members
* Overall project management and delivery
* Providing other members of the team, training and directional guidance
* Communicating with other team members regarding changes and alterations
* Able to oversee and manage the project, implementing and communicating changes as required
We seek someone with the following skills/attributes to compliment this vacancy:
* A background within Building Services is essential
* Formal qualifications coupled with relevant working experience – a degree or equivalent
* Ability to execute and perform the above work-related tasks
* Proven Project management experience is desirable
