Aerospace Engineer

An Aerospace Engineer with experience of working with gas turbines is sought by a company near Blackburn.

THE ROLE

The key focus of the role is delivering technical support to production, customer support team and direct to customers by addressing internal and customer technical queries in a timely and professional manner, ensuring that appropriate action meets those requirements and generating technical reports which provide detail analysis of root cause of failure and rectification methods.

You will also produce aerospace release documents for completed engines acceptable to the relevant regulatory authority, ensure quality standards are maintained and improved throughout the production cycle ensuring airworthiness of the highest standard, review engine technical documents to ascertain history and subsequent scope of work required to restore airworthiness and develop improvement programmes to enhance productivity and achieve agreed KPI’s. You will also maintain records and to read and interpret the overhaul manuals and the parts catalogues..

CANDIDATE CRITERIA:

The successful candidate will need a Degree / HND in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline and have experience of working on gas turbines within the Aerospace industry. You will need strong engineering skills including experience of system/process improvements, excellent time management and multi-tasking skills, a high degree of computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and good communication skills.
