Job Description

A people centric business which is well-respected and highly successful in the consultancy world and employs over 12,000 people is looking for an Aerospace Account Manager to join their growing team. They are currently making significant investments across numerous business areas to deliver against their ambitious and exciting global expansion plan.

As one of their Account Managers, you’ll manage existing business and develop new streams of business from your accounts whilst being accountable for the overall account P&L, Gross Margin and Revenue and growth. You’ll also work in tandem with the Account Delivery Lead, who is responsible for day-to-day operational delivery performance and quality, driving the overall account efficiency, including active risk & opportunity management.

To succeed in the role, it’s imperative that you have a strong background within the engineering side of the aerospace sector and this will be combined with a proven track record of sales / account management. The role is, predominantly, focused on getting more out of current accounts but any new business sales skills would also hold you in good stead. Experience of solution selling or consultancy sales focused on areas such as complex systems, software and safety would definitely be of benefit. You’ll also be an exceptional relationship builder who is able to build trust, a likeable character, intelligent networker and resilient.

You’ll be based in the UK and exact location is not important although North West or Bristol is preferred – you will need to be happy to undertake significant travel within the UK – your primary account has multiple UK sites and is a global business that designs and builds complex systems. Package wise the role is paying c£80,000 (more may be available for an ideal candidate) plus 20% bonus plus c£5,000 car allowance.
