Inspector (aerospace)

The role
• Good receiving inspection of Aircraft parts and associated goods for both production and spares. These will be actioned in line with project and system requirements.
• The inspection of kits prior to shipment from external customers
• Approves signatory for release paperwork for both production and spares orders including if required weapons and explosives
• Stores re-inspection of parts located within the stores
• Rejection of parts from stored when required
• Use of Quality and Engineering systems to aid in the role
• Support logistic activities, i.e. raising of transport notes, packing for onward shipment, movement and location of components within department.
• Flexibility and willingness to work in other areas of the logistics operation
• Ability to provide operational cover to other sites in the North West area
Person Specification

Requirements
• Must have an understanding of the need for attention to detail with a right first time approach
• Excellent I.T. skills
• A team player with the ability to communicate effectively
• Experience with Aquila, AER, DRS, Unicode, EDSRS, HMS CAPPS, Proquis
• Minimum of ONC in Electrical Maintenance Engineering or 5 years knowledge of Aerospace
