Accounts Assistant

My client an established small firm of Chartered Accountants have a new vacancy and are seeking an Accounts Assistant to work in a growing accounts team.

You will have a good grounding in accounts with all round experience gained in a fast moving office and accounts environment and can demonstrate how you worked hard and smart to date. You will be studying for an accounts qualification, which could be AAT (or be qualified) or ACCA/ACA/CIMA.

You will be a confident communicator as you will be speaking to clients and working closely with external customers, professional people as well as internal contacts. You will have excellent IT skills and a strong self motivating and “can do” personality. An interest in progressing to be a qualified accountant in a future more role is essential.

You must be able to work in small teams, as there are a small number of people working for this company, however it is a friendly, amicable environment and a good place to work where you will be encouraged to progress your accountancy career and studies. This company has been established for a number of years, has expanded to two offices and is continuing to extend and expand their client base, so it is expected that your role will grow. You will be a self starter, self motivated and be able to work unsupervised in the main but mentored, given support and supervision where required.

This is an ideal role for a studier, who can demonstrate that they are keen to settle into a good company and pursue an accountancy career. The salary quoted is for guidance purposes at the application stage, the final salary will be discussed and offered according to experience and qualifications to the successful candidate.

It is essential that you are a car driver as the company have an office in a rural location..
