ROLE: Engineering Manager/ Maintenance Manager – Waste Management

PACKAGE: Up to £55k, Pension, bonus, Additional Perks open to negotiation

CLIENT

My client is a regional leader the waste and recycling sector. They are engaged in waste management and recycling services. ROLE – Engineering Manager/ Maintenance Manager

You will deliver and optimise PPM schedules

You may use lean techniques (5 Whys, Kaizen, Continuous Improvement, RCA, 8D, TPM, SMED/POKE YOKE, SPC Six Sigma Black Belt, Green Belt Etc., 5S, Just in Time, Kanban, 7 Wastes,) to optimise and improve throughput and reduce downtime

You will directly manage a site based maintenance team

You will manage a maintenance budget, ensuring costs are controlled

You will deliver operational cost saving measures, and improvements in efficiency and have experience managing P & L for maintenance budgets

You will project manage alterations to site equipment and commission new equipment.

You MUST be committed to inspiring and enforcing a positive Health and Safety ethic within the team, ensuring the correct resources for a safe working environment are made available IOSH & NEBOSH are desirable.

EXPERIENCE – Engineering Manager/ Maintenance Manager

You will ideally have experience as Maintenance Manager, however you may be a senior or experience maintenance supervisor

Experience with hands-on maintenance/engineering works would be advantageous

You will ideally have had P & L responsibility for a maintenance budgets

Experience in a production or processing, heavy industry or heavy manufacturing environment is ideal

Other key skills required are: delivery of training, team manager, teamwork, safety manager and an understanding of environmental legislation such as emissions

HNC, HND or Degree in an Engineering discipline Electrical, C & I, Mechanical or Process is desirable, HNC may be considered with extensive experience

PLC/ DCS / SCADA/SAP experience also very advantageous.

Health and safety qualifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH essential
