COMPANY INFORMATION:
My client a leading food manufacturing company are looking for a shift maintenance team leader to work on a rotating 12 hour day and night shift rota including working alternate weekends

YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
-Must have supervisory or management experience within an engineering maintenance background.
-Experience of setting targets and managing performance with individuals and teams.
-Past success in improving and developing engineering teams.
-Must have a good understanding of lean manufacturing and Total Productive Practices.
– A good understanding of both electrical and mechanical disciplines
– Ideally past experience within a FMCG background including Food, Pharmaceutical, Plastics, Packaging etc

ROLE INFORMATION:
Working alongside the shift charge hand you will support and guide your shift team, ensuring they are properly resourced, trained and motivated to deliver a valued service to their customers. You will also be expected to help the schedulers and planners assist in scheduling maintenance and plant improvement activities during shutdowns and production periods. You will also be involved in weekly meetings to liaise with other departments to achieve an effective maintenance schedule around production and sanitation. Dealing with outside contractors, it is essential they are made fully aware of their responsibilities for health and safety, food safety and quality of work. The successful candidate must also offer continuous support to all plant initiatives including 5S
