The Client & Role | Who Are They?

We are retained to recruit a Sales Manager for an established and successful subcontract CNC machining business. They supply both light and heavy machined capability and capacity and have a track record working in a number of market sectors. Providing both short batch and high-volume precision machined parts to the tightest tolerances, in various materials, they have a good reputation for quality and on time delivery.

They have continually invested in machinery and software, driving efficiency and service offerings, this has also naturally added capacity to the plant. They also hold a number of quality accreditations. With a financially stable and committed ownership structure this business is now looking to grow through its traditional markets and into new markets and customers.

The Candidate | What Are We Looking For?

We are looking for technically oriented Sales Manager that understands precision machining and has a track record of selling sub contract services.

The ideal candidate will have experience in selling to at least 2 of the following sectors: medical, oil and gas, aerospace, off highway, nuclear, defence, OEM machinery manufactures, electronics. Whilst leading the way with sales you will also play a key role in shaping the strategy, which will include managing the marketing budget, so whilst not a prerequisite previous experience of marketing would be useful.

This is a truly exciting role for someone to bring their skill set to a stable business that is looking to grow further in several key sectors up and down the UK. This isn’t the type of role in which you’ll be told ‘we don’t have the capacity’, because if you fill the factory, they have the vision and means to create more.
