Project Design Engineering Manager

Based in Seascale, Cumbria or Risley (nr Egremont, Whitehaven, Workington or Warrington)

Objective

Capita Resourcing are acting on behalf of their client within the nuclear sector who are seeking an experienced Design Engineers. Based in Seascale, you will be responsible for leading design teams on one of the most complex nuclear sites in the UK.

Deliverables

Responsibilities:

Leading design teams in decommissioning and the provision of new facilities.
Working closely with external contractors, and supervising and delivering core design activities utilising internal staff.
Interfacing with the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, regulators, other professional engineering disciplines, nuclear operators and the external supply chain.
Addressing issues beyond normal UK engineering practices by employing innovative new technologies and solutions to unique challenges in a stringently regulated environment across a broad spectrum of skill areas such as are applied to the particular challenges and opportunities presented by the retrieval, conditioning, and disposal of nuclear waste.

Key Skills

:

Chartered Engineer or approaching chartered status.
A design engineering background (ideally gained in nuclear or heavy industrial environment).
Strong leadership and integration skills.
Innovative and lateral thinker.

Pay Rate Details

Salary: £40,969 – £84,812dependent on experience.
