Production Cell Leader

Our client in South Tyneside is looking for a Production Cell Leader to work at their internationally recognised production facility.
Responsibilities:
• Effective supervision of personnel engaged in the manufacture and packaging of the client’s goods
• Liaise with relevant personnel to ensure clarity of production schedules
• Ensure work areas are laid out and maintained to facilitate optimum work flows and outputs
• Liaise with other departments
• Ensure all quality checks are carried out to requisite standards
• Take steps to reduce waste levels
• Support audits and customer visits
• Ensure teams have sufficient awareness and understanding, and consistently conform to all health and safety requirements
• Ensure a high standard of housekeeping is maintained at all times
• Actively promote and lead improvement activities and company training and development programmes
• Carry out disciplinary investigations
• Participate in recruitment activities
• Conduct team member PDRs and ensure actions are followed up
• Provide support
Person spec.:
• Leadership abilities
• Experience in similar role advantageous
• FLT licence or desire to learn
• Good standard of numeracy or literacy
• NVQ level 3 performing manufacturing operations or above
• Motivation to learn new processes
• Flexibility
