Production Operator (Powder Coating)

Our client is in a very exciting period of growth; they are now looking to expand their team and are recruiting for a Process Operator.
The company specialises in manufacturing materials which add colour into plastic products; Piping, Sheet Wrap etc. We have 1 temporary production position, initially for 6 months. This position may become permanent in the future.

Responsibilities:

*Manufacture of powder coatings, including: Pre-weighing; Loading; Extrusion; Milling; Blending; Bonding.
*Handling of raw materials such as Resins, Additives and Pigments.
*Basic quality control testing (as appropriate).
*Housekeeping, including the cleaning of machines, bins and open pots. General cleaning to be kept to a high standard.
*Other duties as required.

Candidate qualities:

*Experience of operating extruders, would be an advantage.
*Ideally qualified up to GCSE standard or equivalent.
*Ideally a minimum 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
*Ideally have a current Counterbalance Fork Lift Licence.
*Must be reliable, trustworthy and able to work to a high degree of accuracy (essential).
*Must have a good understanding of safe working practices
