Production Manager

Our globally renowned Midlands based manufacturer are currently seeking an experienced Production Manager to manage their CNC department.

We are looking for a hands on CNC Machining manager with a lead by example approach who will manage the day to day production activities focusing on driving excellence in manufacturing and best practice within the CNC department.

You will possess extensive experience in a CNC machining environment with knowledge of modern technology and up to date manufacturing techniques. You will need to have a high level of programming knowledge particularly with Fanuc controlled machines, and to have a sound working knowledge of 5s standards and Lean Manufacturing.

The main purpose of the role is to ensure all daily production targets are met by managing changing priorities, controlling all activities within the CNC section to correctly allocate labour and machines to priority work, liaising with tooling suppliers to ensure most cost effective purchasing & ensuring at all times product availability in order to deliver the required levels of customer services.

You will work closely with your team to:

Positively influence accident prevention, productivity/efficiency improvement, whilst achieving specified quality levels & standards, controlling costs within budgetary constraints.

Manage, develop and motivate the team to achieve the business goals, ensuring they are clearly aware of both their personal and their team objectives and that development targets are set.

For all team members, provide general supervision, plan & co-ordinate, lead and oversee all training matrices and personal development plans.

Ensure at all times that the conduct & performance of all CNC team members is in line with Company expectations and take appropriate action where required.
