The Client:
Our client is an established Project Management, Engineering, Design and Construction consultant working on projects across a diverse range of industries on complex projects including Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Chemicals, Food, Drink and Consumer goods. The client covers a wide range of consultancy and project delivery services such as the provision of energy plant and specialist consultancy services.

The Role:
We require a Senior Electrical Engineer on a long term contract basis in Coventry to provide technical expertise and engineering skills for electrical activities associated with the relevant project. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
– Specification of equipment and installations relating to performance of calculations for inspection, testing and commissioning.
– Carry out design studies and safety reviews.
– Generate proposals, estimates and specifications.
– Perform calculations.
– Responsible for cost-effective design, testing, commissioning activities and producing the necessary reports.
– Operate as Authorised Person for the clients Coventry site (where required).
– Provide site and sales support, including the development of proposals.

Candidate
The Senior Electrical Engineer will have experience of HV fault level calculations, protection and discrimination and in the specification, testing and commissioning of such systems. The candidate will have knowledge of PED, Safety Systems/SIL and requirements for hazardous area installations. Application engineering, specifying and commissioning of a.c. variable speed drive systems is required. The Senior Electrical Engineer will have good interpersonal and communication skills, be self motivated and a Chartered Engineer.
