Internal IT & Communications Manager

Responsible for the day to day running of the IT Team, the IT Manager will provide help and guidance for the IT Support and IT Development teams based here in central Manchester.

The role will also encompass some internal training, team mentoring and getting involved with some business analysis, product testing and other technical processes; so an adaptable, yet technically able candidate would be ideal for this position and comes with a salary of c£54,000per year, plus an attractive and inspiring benefits and bonuses package.

Skills and Responsibilities:
• Candidates must be very familiar with Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and 2012 and with Client OS to Windows 8
• A strong understanding of networking, routing, firewall and broadband technology and developments
• Linux Server (Red Hat Linux is preferred)
• Knowledge of MySQL, Apache, PHP and MS SQL is required
• Email services, SPAM filtration, proxy services and endpoint security management knowledge
• The ability to manage teams of developers and infrastructure engineers, assigning projects and identifying and delegating required project work to others
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

Role and Responsibilities:
• Responsibility for the day to day management of the company’s IT and communication systems
• To identify and implement IT solutions that are required to future proof the company
• To develop and maintain IT processes, ensuring they meet future business and system requirements and lead the development and implementation of the strategies fully aligned with the company’s objectives
• Management of support and development staff, priorities and workload.
• Availability to respond to and fix issues out of normal working hours
• Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure, equipment and software
