Construction Manager / Junior Pm

Salary: £330 – £390 per day

Blocktech MEP have an exciting opportunity for a Construction Manager who is looking to take the next step! We are currently looking for Hungry Construction Managers with great people skills, work ethic, tenacity, and technical skills. Our client is looking for the people who strive to deliver excellence and understand the importance of building client relationships, to come in and grow, learn, deliver, develop, and progress into their next phase of exciting projects managers. In return you will have the chance to work with one of London’s top Fit Out Firms and be involved in some of the capitals most exciting projects!

The successful candidate will be allocated responsibility for their own smaller projects to Demonstrate their PM credentials, under the super vision of a Senior Project Manager. Their will be ongoing training, support, and development.

Job Scope and requirements:

* Manage site set-up ensuring standards are met and maintained.

* Maintain a professional and productive working relationship with sub-contractor management and operatives and notify Line Manager regarding any issues.

* Develop, monitor and control the strategic and detailed construction programming for the project.

* Attend all project meetings and action items identified within the minutes as necessary.

* Contribute to the production of Progress Reports.

* Manage the RFI, CVI, Information Required, and technical submittal processes and procedures for the project

* Continually review and manage sub-contractor resources at a suitable level to meet the demands of the project.

* Carry out daily snagging inspection walk rounds, snagging sheets issued weekly by each sub-contractor at weekly coordination meeting.

* Hold regular sub-contractor coordination meetings on a weekly basis, issuing minutes of the meeting to all sub-contractors and team members. Check that the actions of previous meetings are effectively closed out.

* Assist the Commercial / Senior Commercial Manager in controlling the commercial risk of projects.

* Work with the team to deliver Defect Free in its entirety on all projects.

* Carry out a regular review of agreed prelims expenditure.

* Issue corrective action notices as necessary to maintain subcontractor performance and on-site standards and notify the Commercial Manager of any potential contra-charges.

* Take responsibility for site level health, safety, and environmental management in accordance with the approved processes and procedures.

* Build long term client and professional team relationships based on the successful delivery of projects.

* Quality, Health & Safety & Environmental – manage and deliver all aspects of the project in line with the QHSE process and procedures and in line with ISO accreditations.
