Learner Engagement Officer

We are looking for a team member with drive and enthusiasm, able to communicate effectively at all levels from all backgrounds, whilst working to tight targets in a demanding environment ensuring that our employers and learners receive an exemplary service and ensuring the needs of the business are met.

Role and Responsibilities:

* Attracting new learners to pre-employment programmes

* Motivate and encourage people to learn new skills to help them back into employment

* Maintaining good working relationships with recruitment company and partners

* Identify opportunities for growth, develop networks and working relationships in new areas

* Conducting eligibility checks on all learners

* Complaints handling

* Advertising jobs/training on jobs boards and utilising social media to attract more candidates

* Keeping up to date with any changes within higher education/funding

* Attending jobs fairs

* Able to signpost a learner to other organisations/departments if they already have the qualifications we offer

* Trouble shooting

* Offering IAG on other available opportunities within the business and with external partners

* Offering further support to learners if needed

* Meeting and exceeding KPI’s

* Ability to engage with local employers to help find opportunities for learners

* The ability to motivate and encourage others

Desirable criteria:

* Level 2 or higher IAG qualification

* Experience in a similar role or FE sector

* Knowledge of government funded employment and training programmes

Working Hours: 09:00 – 17:00 (8am start each Monday and 4pm finish on Friday)

Salary: £26,000per yeardepending on knowledge and experience
