Hourly pay rate: £24per hour (Increased to £23.00 once you are RAIL COMPETENT)
Shifts:4 on 4 off (MUST BE FLEXIBLE TO INCLUDE WEEKENDS)
Hours per week:46 hours a week. Work 12 hour shift less 30 minute break
Duration:On-going contract

Our client is a global leader in Rolling Stock vehicle manufacturing, service and maintenance.

Position Summary
We are looking for Electrical Engineering Technicians to work on rolling stock (trains) based out of a depot in North West London. The role is geared around carrying out fault diagnosis work on trains in service and covers all systems of which examples would be doors, HVAC, driver controls, lighting, PIS (passenger information systems), signalling etc….

Initially you will use software diagnostic tools to investigate the fault and therefore you will ideally have used such tools in your previous employment. You must be able to demonstrate the ability to analyse data from the software tools to identify the root cause of the problem. Further you will then be tasked to investigate in more depth which will involve more traditional electrical testing using a fluke meter. Therefore you must be competent in the use of fluke meters carrying out fault finding.

Person Profile/Experience:
No previous rail experience required as we will consider applicants that have worked on any of the following, but you must have fault diagnosis experience.

Qualifications:
A must is a formal electrical engineering qualification i.e. apprenticeship, Degree, HND, HNC, 16th/17 edition, 2391 testing Candidates
