Team Leader/Assistant Shift Supervisor (nights) 37 hours a week

Salary: £26,000per yeardepending on experience

I am currently recruiting for a Team Leader/ Assistant Shift Supervisor to work for my client, a leading distributor in South Wales. The Team Leader/Assistant Shift Supervisor will be responsible for around 6 staff per shift and will be joining a company that can boast an excellent working environment and a commitment to providing a 1st class customer service. Duties of the Team Leader/Assistant Shift Supervisor are as follows:

1) Supervising a team of pickers and loaders on night shifts ( Monday-Thursday) and an evening shift on the Sunday

2) Leading in a way so that the picking and loading process is carried out smoothly

3) Remaining calm and focused in a fast paced environment.

The ideal candidate will:

– Have previous supervisory/team leading experience

– Will be hands on and ready to step in and help on the shop floor during busy periods

– Have experience of picking and loading in a warehouse

– Be flexible

– Have a strong personality and a good sense of humour

– Be willing to train or already be trained to use a fork lift truck

– Possess a good attention to detail and excellent organisational skills

– Be health and safety aware and be trained in administering first aid.
