Goods Inward Inspector

Our client is a leading UK service provider, offering service maintenance and installation of lifting equipment.

THE ROLE
To receive and inspect all procured product in line with contractual conditions.

*Verify and accept procured product in line with contractual conditions
*Read and understand assembly drawings with regard to dimensional tolerances and machined items
*Examine the finish of all parts to detect faulty finishing painting and deterioration of surfaces, etc.
*Undertake ‘first off’ inspections
*Produce relevant inspection/quality control documentation
*Check and complete all paperwork associated with the delivered article
*Ensure that inspections times are met
*Control defect items via segregation from good product
*Raise and maintain relevant defect reports
*Maintain product verification approval process via regular audits
*Ensure compliance with all associated procedures applicable to the manufacturing process
*Contribute to the maintenance of an orderly and safe working environment

ESSENTIAL
*Experience of working in a similar role
*Must be flexible, well organised and able to work unsupervised using own initiative
*Excellent communication skills
*Willingness to undergo security clearance if required

DESIRABLE
*Experience of using Navision would be beneficial
*Full clean driving licence would be advantageous
