Branch Manager – Logistics / 3pl / Warehouse

Salary: £60,000 – £78,000 per year

We are now have an exciting recruitment opportunity for a Freight Forwarding Branch Manager in Nottingham. Your role will involve the management of the 3PL and eCommerce branch, managing a 3PL, Warehouse and logistics facility with responsibility for both operations and sales personnel.

Your role will involve.

* Full responsibility and accountability for operational, financial, facilities and developmental requirements of the branch
* To prepare the annual budgets in collaboration with Finance and Commercial teams, and to be held accountable for delivering through P&L and Commercial Management
* To deal with all aspects of 3PL including Goods In, Despatch, Ecommerce, Fulfilment, Returns, VAS and Customer Services.
* To identify trends within the business, and actively develop solutions for maintaining positive momentum or correcting negative patterns
* To continually review and streamline working processes to enable best practice with lowest resource/financial impact
* Close cooperation with clients and the sales/finance teams for business maintenance/development

Your main focus will be to grow and drive the business forward so a freight background or logistics is essential quality for applying candidates with a proven track record in 3PL branch management.
You will get involved with the recruitment, training, motivation, development and management of all personnel to achieve total customer focus.
Negotiating contract buy rates on a local basis
Ensuring the optimal use of resources, both internal and external maximising cost effectiveness and maintaining service levels while continually seeking alternative methods to improve service levels.
You will be extremely customer focused with the ability to problem solve and make decisions in the best interest of the business and have the ability to remain focused in a pressurised work environment.
You will have strong freight management experience with experience of setting KPI’s, working to budgets with good financial acumen
Strong problem solving, planning and organisational skills with the ability to multi task whilst working to tight deadlines.
Be a hands-on team player and lead from the front with the right insight to motivate others and encourage change where necessary with excellent interpersonal & administration skills with strong attention to detail.
Be computer literate with a strong level of I.T. skills.

Salary and Benefits

Salary £60,000 – £78,000
Car Allowance £650 per month
25 days holiday per year plus statutory 8 (January-December)
