Our client is a successful company who specialise in the design and manufacture of engineered products. With an impressive order book and plans for growth they are now looking to appoint a Planning, Logistics and Project Manager. This role would suit someone who has been working in an engineering / fabrication environment who has been the interface between sales and production; who has been involved in planning, scheduling and looking at manufacturing capacity as well as the movement of products from suppliers and to customers. (Logistics experience is not needed for this role due to the nature of transportation of products). The role will also have a team of people as direct reports.
KEY DUTIES
* Production-planning supervision, scheduling for production, preparing production schedules for manufacturing
* Ensuring each operation meets shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders
* Analysing production specifications and plant capacity data and determining manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements
* Planning and scheduling workflow for each department and operation
* Managing the status of assigned projects
* Preparing production reports
* Preparing defined work packages, including detailed instructions, drawings, bills of material, references, inspection requirements, etc., to initiate and control production work
* Monitoring, analysing & reporting performance to schedule of production & production support activities, utilising information derived from material and production control systems
* Communication of production status
* Scheduling, expediting, & coordinating the delivery & movement of products
* Subcontractor liaison and coordination
* Overseeing timely Works Order Maintenance on the ERP system to ensure accuracy of raw material stock
