Job Description:

Arden Personnel are currently recruiting for a Logistics Manager where if successful you will be responsible for Managing staff, processes and systems to make sure productivity targets are met.

As Logistics Manager you will;

* Oversee the maintenance of warehouse and labour-management systems.
* Be responsible for workplace health and safety standards and for the security of the stock in your area.
* You will manage teams of workers and deal with personnel issues such as the recruitment, training and discipline of staff as well as monitoring staff performance and progress.
* The goal is to ensure productivity targets and customer SLA’s are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly.
* Coordinating the use of automated and computerised systems where necessary.
* Responding to and dealing with customer communication by email and telephone and liaising with customers, suppliers and transport companies.
* Keeping stock control systems up to date and making sure inventories are accurate.
* Planning future capacity requirements.
* Motivating, organising and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded.
* Producing regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
* Briefing team members on a daily basis.
* Oversee the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment.
* Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision.
* Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures.
* Gather internal customer feedback to monitor the quality of service they are receiving.

The Successful Applicant

To be considered for this Logistics Manager role you will need to have;

* Proven warehouse management experience.
* Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices.
* Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
* Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
* Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases.
* Leadership skills and ability manage staff.
* Strong decision making and problem solving skills.
* Excellent communication skills.
* ILM level 3.
* NVQ level 2 – Team leading.
* 5 years Warehouse Management experience is essential.
* Must be able to manage with a practical, ‘hands-on’ working approach if required.
