Assistant Boyswear Designer (Graphic / Print)

The Company:
A fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Boyswear Designer with a Graphic/Print background to join a leading producer of fashion products. You will be responsible for creating garments, graphic and print multi-product boyswear ranges to meet customer requirements.

The Role:
Creating and producing boys jersey and woven multi-products.
Delivering products on budget.
Working within the team to meet briefs.
Maintaining company identity and developing product portfolio.
Researching and developing new ranges.
Presenting ranges to Buyers.
Developing and maintaining business relationships.
Critical path management.
Design and develop ranges for UK high street within a fast fashion environment.
Support and assist the Senior Designer.
Communicate with factories on a daily basis for helping to develop the products and prints/graphics required and maintain sample deadlines.
Any other reasonable additional duties requested or delegated by the Manager.

Skills Required:
2 years experience within a similar position is required.
MUST HAVE strong CAD skills – Illustrator/Photoshop knowledge.
Experience of working with retailers such as River Island and Next.
A boys/menswear multi-product garment background and the ability to fully understand graphic/prints is essential.
Must be very on trend.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
An up to date portfolio showcasing on trend design skills.
