Location: Hammersmith and Fulham, West London
Skilled Careers are currently recruiting for a Site Manager for one of the UK’s leading new build contractors with a strong order book and a turnover in the excess of £200m. The company specialises in new build social housing and private residential schemes and mixed use developments, ranging in value of £10-50m.
The Successful candidate will be working on a challenging site managing the site from demolition stages through build, and finally taking it through to handover and completion.
The project is based on a £10m brownfield site and the site manager will be responsible of managing the trades and labour and all subcontractors of the demolition of existing buildings on site, the design and build of 3 blocks new build low rise social housing blocks. The blocks will be 4 storey, 5 storey and a 6 storey apartments plus basement on each block.
Specific Duties for the successful Site Manager
– Managing the £10m site through demolition and new build of 3 separate low rise blocks reporting to a project manager
– Leading toolbox talks and taking part in programme talks with Project manager and design teams
– Overseeing subcontractors and coordinating trades
– Ensuring the project is completed on time and to budget while maintaining a high standard of quality finishes.
– Ensuring all trades and contractors are working to Health and Safety standards onsite, creating a safe working environment is maintained at all times
– Reporting to the onsite Project Manager, ensuring relevant information is reported and delivered correctly
Person Specification for the Successful Site Manager
– Previous experience working as a Site Manager on high rise projects in excess of £8m+
– the Site Manager will be able to work to NHBC Standards with a keen awareness and proven examples of working to the proper health and Safety regulations
– Have a valid SMSTS and CSCS
– Solid previous experience managing a site from demolition and groundwork`s through to completion
– Ideally worked for a main contractor or residential developer on RC frame projects.
– Previously delivered Social Housing Residential schemes
– Trade background would be an advantage.
– UK experience is essential.
