Salary: £69,600 – £81,600 per year
Dedicate Recruitment is working in partnership with this successful education training provider, which is at the next stage of growth, from a local level to UK wide status.
To support this pivotal phase, they are seeking a highly competent Business Manager to drive the strategic leadership across all commercial operations.
Reporting to the CEO, you will be part of the Senior Leadership Team and will manage the central support team of four staff.
Key areas of responsibility are:
* To act as the Chief Finance Officer
* To offer advice and insight to the SLT and trustees in determining the strategic business direction
* To provide leadership and management of central services including the finance function to ensure the service operates according to best practice standards and continues to deliver Value for Money.
* To provide strategic direction and management of Finance, HR, Legal and IT.
* To maximise opportunities available for generating income from its resources
You will manage the annual budget and have a good understanding in reporting financial information to the Board and submitting statements to HMRC, Companies House and the ESFA, implementing robust financial controls and facilitate the external audit. You will lead on the IT facilities development and liaise with sub-contractors to ensure a successful contract for delivery, and oversee the HR function, ensuring recruitment and staff development is in line with current HR legislation and best practice.
The successful candidate will be degree educated and holds a full accounting qualification or equivalent. You will be highly proficient in creating and presenting strategic financial plans, budget reports and will possess a successful track record in negotiating best value contracts. Experience of working within a start up scenario within the education or charity sector is desirable.

This is office based in Sittingbourne with flexible home working.
