Assistant Site Manager – New Build – Redcar / Cleveland

A thriving and successful residential developer is looking for an experienced assistant site manager to run apartment developments in Redcar and Cleveland (Guisborough). The successful candidate needs to bring with them a proven track record of working for a national / large regional house builder and have experience of building apartments.

As Assistant Site Manager you will be expected to Assist the Site Manager in the following:

• Managing the Construction functions to deliver product on time, within budget, to required standards and reported as per Group policies and processes.
• Managing and effectively supervise all onsite labour and sub contract activities
• Managing the Development to maintain and deliver its build programme, in accordance with budgets/forecast/cash flow
• Actively manage communications and operational interfaces with customers, internal and external stakeholders
• Effectively manage the Development, promoting a customer focused culture
• Manage site waste in accordance with Group policies and processes.
• At all times comply with responsibilities under the Company’s Health and Safety and Environmental and Corporate Responsibility Policies and all other company policies, procedures and instructions.

To be considered for this role you must have at least 3 years’ experience as an Assistant Site Manager with a House Builder and have worked on apartment buildings, delivering a high quality project against challenging deadlines and strict budget.

Desired Experience/Qualifications
• Relevant qualification or good experience in Construction Management
• Good understanding of the financial implications of the methods and sequences of build
• Good knowledge in construction build programmes/Commercial awareness
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Broad knowledge of the Construction Processes
• Broad knowledge of Customer Service Requirements
• Broad awareness of codes of practice that impact on Construction matters e.g. NHBC, Building Regs etc.
• Good Technical knowledge relating to construction activities
• Good knowledge of Construction Design Management Regulations
