Sales Surveyor

A powerhouse within the supermarket industry is looking for a Sales Surveyor to join their team on an initial 6 month contract. Operating across London and the M25, as the Loft and Extension Sales Surveyor your primary responsibilities will be to work from a pipeline of warm leads to create complete site consultations to identify the most suitable solution for our customer’s projects, allow them to envision the potential and sell the project to them. This role will be expected to manage their time effectively across customer visits, home and office working.

Responsibilities

Communicate with potential customers from a booked phone appointment with a warm lead, discuss their project with them to fully evaluate their requirements, and translate that into a sketch to enable them to visualise their project and you to create first stage estimates
Follow up with customers to encourage them to book a site survey with you. Whilst on-site collect all information, to include measurements, photos and sketches of the proposed work, which will assist you to construct an estimate
Identify any issues and propose solutions with the customer to overcome them
Provide customers with additional information such as timescales, projects processes and other factors that may not have been considered to help close the sale
Where appropriate, cross-selling and customer retention
Manage and support the customer, dealing with any questions they have around the estimate with answers or advice
Work with the customer account manager team to convert the estimate to the next stage of the process and close the sale
Develop strong relationships as a trusted Subject Matter Expert for any request by customer or colleagueSkills Required

Sales and customer service experience.
Residential building experience.
Project Management.
Planning, building regulations and local authority regulations knowledge.
Approaches customers with confidence and projects positivity in each interaction in order to offer inspiring and engaging service which is market leading.
Is flexible in approach to every customer, adapting their selling style to the customer, meeting varying needs from the more immediate ones, to serving deeper wishes. Is resilient when their selling approach does not meet customer needs and adapts to try another approach.
Understands and is expert in our complete range of services offered across Home Improvements, making connections to provide total solutions and achieve more sales.
Makes commercial decisions using judgement to give the customer the best outcome possible whilst understanding the boundaries in order to protect our brand, balancing customer need with business need.
