The Senior Quantity Surveyor role

We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a Design & Build contractor. As Senior Quantity Surveyor the role will involve overseeing all commercial responsibilities for a £20 Million Design & Build project in Nottinghamshire The project has been negotiated with one their key clients and has a build programme of approximately 12 months.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor position will be responsible to a Managing Quantity Surveyor – working on all commercial aspects of the project from procurement of sub-contract packages, valuations, variations, cost reporting and producing the final account.

They operate principally as a Design & Build contractor and much of their workload is on a negotiated basis. Their clients include many blue chip, private sector companies and they undertake projects valued at anywhere between £5 Million to £50 Million.

Requirements

Successful applicants will have a proven track record of undertaking the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor for a main contractor who undertake projects of a similar size and nature. In addition successful applicants should hold an HNC or degree level qualification in a construction discipline.
