Logistics Supervisor / Driver

Salary: £30,000 – £33,600 per year

Our client, based in Trafford Park, are looking to recruit a Logistics Supervisor/ Driver – Reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager.

They are a leading name in textiles and work-wear provision supplying wholesalers throughout the UK.

They have long term, secure contracts in place resulting in the need for a new team member:

Main duties and responsibilities

* Driving a Mercedes Sprinter van, mainly delivering to the North West area but with the need to cover further a field when needed.

* Responsible for incoming, inventoried and issued stock

* Being responsible for purchase order management, goods receiving.

* Responsible for the Welfare of the transport staff

* Responsible for offering direction, support and actively managing transport procedures.

* Responsible for the management of driver and vehicle compliance using company processes

* As a member of the management team, responsible for supporting your peers and direct manager to company objectives

* Any further ad-hoc duties as required

Hours of work:
On average a 50 hour week: Between 6am – 5pm Monday to Friday.

Salary:
Starting on circa £25K – £28K with the real potential to rise to £35K after the probationary period.

Applicants must have a minimum 3 years Logistics / Driving experience in a similar industry and ideally have supervisor experience.
