Projects Commissioning Engineer

Key Tasks

Commercial:

• Managing budgets for projects and ensure that as a minimum, projects achieve targeted profitability
• To meet the agreed contractual terms and conditions for the job
• To manage all relevant disciplines throughout the contract duration ensuring that project budgets, programme durations and technical details are to agreed specifications
• Communicate technical, commercial and programme details to relevant staff
• Active in promoting a team approach for the benefit of the company
• The role may require you to assist in other areas of the company as required;

Technical:

• To quote, design (using CAD) and build process and packaging equipment systems to appropriate legal and customer standards
• To procure materials and labour
• To plan works such that labour and material requirements can be allocated in good time
• To schedule labour and other resources required
• To ensure projects are handled professionally and that all contractors, suppliers and Moody personnel work with due regard to all CDM and HASAW procedures.

Experienced in the design, installation and commissioning of hygienic liquid process systems, including but not limited to:

• C.I.P systems
• Filling lines and product handling
• Mixing / blending systems
• Automated process control and routing systems
• Pasteurisers
• Liquid storage solutions
• Process skids

Delivering well engineered solutions in full compliance with current legislation.

Key Skills

• A knowledge of the hygienic process and packaging industries
• A knowledge of items of capital plant and equipment appropriate to the food, dairy and beverage industries
• A thorough knowledge and experience of all Health & Safety and CDM regulations
• Skilled in using AutoCAD
• Is computer literate including the use of spreadsheets for project estimation and cost tracking and other software utilised in project management (Microsoft Dynamics AX)

Qualifications

• Driving Licence
• GCSE Grades A-C in English and Maths
• Engineering Degree or HND in Engineering or Time served Engineering Apprenticeship

In addition, the Project Engineer / Manager must be prepared to undertake any reasonable requests made to meet the business needs of the company.

The role of Project Engineer / Manager may involve travel and time spent on our customer’s premises around the UK and Eire and could potentially involve travel around the world but mainly in mainland Europe. The nature of work will involve overnight stays away from home.
