Our client is a leading provider of security, automation, and information technologies, systems, software solutions and services consulting to the Building Services sector. They are looking to recruit a Security Projects Commissioning and Support Engineer.
The Role
To support the North West division in the delivery, commissioning and support of security solutions including technical design, delivery engineering assistance, field based commissioning and field support.
The Responsibilities
+ The role will require the individual to be knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of the delivery and design of security solutions including CCTV, access control, and audio / video intercoms. Advantageous would be any previous experience with Pelco IP CCTV systems along with any experience of Inet access Control Products.
+ Any additional experience and/or expertise in fire alarms, intruder detection and integration would be preferable but not essential.
+ The core responsibility of the role is to provide commissioning for all security related projects in the north west division along with project delivery support including the following key tasks;
– Commissioning
i. Hands on field based commissioning
ii. Customer handover and site based liaison
iii. Customer training
– Project delivery support
i. Technical design assistance
ii. Project engineering assistance
iii. Customer meetings
iv. O&M manual production
– Field support
i. Hands on support and maintenance of on-site product
ii. Maintenance and breakdown assistance to the support team when necessary
+ The role also has additional ad-hoc responsibilities to support the sales team across the north west including the following tasks;
– Sales support
i. Surveying new and existing end user / customer sites and security systems
ii. Technical assistance
iii. Customer demonstrations
QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION REQUIRED (or preferred)
+ ONC / HNC or HND Electrical Engineering (or equivalent vocational qualification)
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
+ Previous experience in security & fire industry
+ Previous experience and success in a similar role an advantage
