Laboratory Assistant

LABORATORY ASSISTANT / MANUFACTURING ASSISTANT – NR BASINGSTOKE – SHIFT – TEMPORARY – 9 MONTHS

A leading manufacturing company are currently recruiting for a QC Test/Analyst to work at their site near Basingstoke.

The Lab Assistant will provide quality control testing of their products as supplied by the manufacturing process. The role will involve visual inspection as required by the Quality Control management.

The Lab Assistant will provide effective planning and prioritising of testing work load with other shift testers, quality control staff and ensure the test results are fed back to manufacturing in a timely manner. Entering data onto the QIS and assisting in decision making with regards to disposition of quarantined products. Reporting laboratory testing non conformities as required by the relevant procedure. Monitoring lab conditions and escalating any out of control conditions to the Quality Control Team as required.

The role is for a 9 month temporary contract. The role is working 12 shift patterns from 06:00 – 18:00 and 18:00 – 06:00.

To be considered for the role you will ideally have previous experience working within a Laboratory environment although manufacturing/production experience will also be considered. You will have good attention to detail and be able to work under pressure, be flexible and able to prioritise your workload. Basic IT skills are required.

The hourly pay rate will be £18PAYE.
