Senior Actuarial Analyst in Capita’s multi-client actuarial services team.

We are looking for a number of highly motivated part qualified actuarial students to join our expanding team.

The role provides an excellent opportunity to get involved with many aspects of actuarial support that we provide to our clients, including actuarial policy servicing, corporate reporting and project support covering everything from regulatory changes through to experience analysis and model development.

As a Senior Actuarial Analyst, you would be managing small and medium-sized projects while supporting more junior members of the team and checking their work. There are also opportunities to manage and improve business as usual activity, to have regular client-contact and to support the development of new business opportunities.

Essential Experience/Skills:

*Previous working history in the Life Insurance industry, either from a life office or consultancy

*Experience of actuarial modelling tool development – Prophet

*Strong MS Excel skills

*Strong analytical skills with the ability to critically evaluate and validate information gathered from multiple sources

*Excellent communication skills

*Attention to detail with the ability to provide constructive feedback to colleagues

*Organisational skills to plan and prioritise own and team’s workload

*Co-ordination of small project deliverables / team

*Good working knowledge of actuarial issues and techniques.

*Degree in a numerical subject

*Able to work independently with minimal supervision

*Able to analyse a complex issue and create an effective solution with minimal direction

*Good progress through actuarial exams (eg passed majority of CTs) – whether or not currently studying

Desired Experience/Skills:

*Experience of MS Access

* Experience of actuarial modelling tool development (eg Prophet, Moses)

*Knowledge of project lifecycles and approaches

*Track record of dealing with clients

*Experience of supervising, coaching and mentoring other team members
