Job Title: Senior Analyst Programmer
Description
The role will involve working closely with the Team Leader, Project Manager and other team members to provide the high-quality programming and analytical skills needed to develop and support the HR and Finance Systems. The successful candidate will be heavily involved in the design and build of the new HR systems using the latest technologies.
Responsibilities

Providing analytical and programming skills across a range of platforms
Translating business requirements into code and applications
Developing, testing and implementing code to team and IT Industry standards
Involvement in the mentoring and development of Analyst Programmers within the team
Communicating effectively at all levels; within the team, with business users, and other systems departments
Excellent problem-solving skills
Working on own initiative, to tight deadlines
Providing out of hours support

Essential Criteria

Solid commercial web development programming experience
Applied knowledge of agile, iterative, and waterfall web development process
Demonstrated abilities to write and follow technical briefs, technical requirements, data schemas and data descriptions
Ability to accurately estimate project timescales as well as measure and report current progress
Excellent capabilities with Microsoft technologies including VB.NET and/or C#, SQL SERVER 2005 onwards (other enterprise-scale databases may be considered).
Browser client development: ASP.NET 5., HTML5, Javascript, jQuery, CSS3.
Understanding of browser compatibility issues and platform characteristics including mobile platforms
Ability to work with interactive requirements—providing external data through multiple means (XML, JavaScript, web services) and guidance on data usage
Ability to give basic feedback on interactive design and make alternative suggestions when dealing with technology or platform challenges
Proven team interaction skills to deliver excellent results
Self-direction and passion for improving projects, the Head Office Systems department, and on improving personal development
Some experience of delivering windows applications

Desirable Criteria

Experience of using Team Foundation Server
Commercial experience of delivering mobile applications including use of responsive/adaptive design
SQL Server DBA skills
Graphic design and UI skills
Commercial experience of Delphi
