Our client is a well-established food manufacturing company that supply to a national network of clients to include Blue Chip and well recognised household brands. Due to expansion within the engineering department they are now seeking a bright engineering/maintenance trainee to join their team. The main duties of the role are to:
• Ensure the manufacturing equipment is set up ready for use and running correctly
• Ensure lines are shut down correctly.
• Reduce downtime
• Report all activities including breakdown repairs
• Be proactive on ways to improve processes and machinery
• Undertake preventative maintenance as well as routing servicing
• Ensure machinery is in good working order
• Understand health and safety and food hygiene regulations.
• Maintain and routinely service facilities including lights, toilets etc.

This position is working continental shifts of 4 on and 4 off and therefore essential that you are at least 18 to work the night shift.

*Skills and Experience required*

•You will have at least a NVQ2 (or equivalent qualification) in an engineering based qualification
•Some knowledge of food production machinery/lines (not essential)
•Be enthusiastic
•Committed and willing to undertake training
