Quantity Surveyor – Permanent Role

Salary: £300 – £600 per day

Dawson Levy is delighted to be working with our client, a civil & structural engineering specialist to recruit for a Quantity Surveyor.

Originally a specialist in bridge components and post-tensioning, our client has successfully expanded its portfolio of products and services into repair, protection and strengthening of structures: specialising in diagnostic surveys, repairs, refurbishment, bridge bearings and cathodic protection to reinforced concrete in the building, civil and marine sectors.

The Opportunity:

An exciting opportunity for a dynamic, enthusiastic Quantity Surveyor, from a contracting background, with NEC3 knowledge to join a growing team in the Central Region

Job Purpose / Summary:

To provide effective commercial support across a variety of projects, including civils, structural concrete repair and rail.

Duties & Responsibilities:

To take projects from contract award through to final accounts including:

· cost management

· reporting and forecasting

· supply chain evaluation and procurement

· contract review and negotiation

· negotiation, management and administration of sub-contract accounts

· change management

· issuing contractual notifications

· negotiation and agreement of compensation events

· production and agreement of final accounts

· providing commercial advice to Operational team

Knowledge & Experience:

A highly motivated self-starter, you will have:

· BSc in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or equivalent

· Experience from civils, working with NEC form of Contract

· A good working knowledge of MS Office (minimum of Word and Excel)
