Quantity Surveyor

Quantity Surveyor required for our client a specialist building services company that are heavily involved within the design, installation, service and maintenance to the M&E contracting, facilities management and transportation industries, with a number of offices located throughout the UK. They are actively looking for a quantity surveyor (QS) to join their mechanical & electrical division and to work closely with and assist the senior contracts managers.

This role is suitable for a junior quantity surveyor or an intermediate quantity surveyor looking for a progressive role, the role will be based on one site located near Hendon.

You will be tasked with producing valuations/ quotations and negotiations of accounts, responsible for assisting with supply orders and assisting the buyers, overseeing client’s contracts and underlining risks and hazards.

Quantity Surveyor Position Overview

Assisting a senior quantity surveyor with M&E contracts
Prepare bills, variations, schedules of rates
Management of the projects, costings, management of suppliers and sub-contractors
Producing monthly application/valuation including variation breakdowns and negotiation of final accounts
Overseeing of Sub-contract accounts, including negotiation of variation accountsQuantity Surveyor Position Requirements

Proven Commercial/QS background
Accounting or QS background desirable; Computer literate; Excellent working knowledge of Excel
The role will need a strong people person with the ability to influence change and culture
Commercially aware and capable of running projects with assistance from the contracts managersQuantity Surveyor Position Remuneration

Salary £30,000 – £32,400DOE
