This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading Financial Institutions as a Community Banker on an initial 2 Months temporary basis based in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, YO11 2HS.
Will be some travel across 2 branches, Scarborough, Whitby and a small branch on the outskirts of Scarborough
The role offers an attractive Salary: of £26,000per year
13 flexible hours, Monday 9am-1pm, Friday 9am-1pm, Saturday 9am-2pm.
Role Description:
o Delight the customer by offering professional, caring, consistent and outstanding levels of customer service. Build trust by engaging in conversations and active listening to customers to be able to anticipate and meet the servicing needs of all customers
o Strive to exceed customer expectations and be empowered to deal with customer requests at first point of contact, only handing off where this adds value in the eyes of the customer
o Create exceptional customer experiences for everyday queries and complaint handling by taking responsibility and using all resources to proactively intercept and address customer issues efficiently and effectively. Know where to go for support if they cannot be resolved immediately.
o Demonstrate a strong level of competence in our digital products, enabling you to proactively educate your customers to have confidence in consistently using alternative channels of their choice, at times to suit them.
o Emotionally connect with customers and work with colleagues in a collaborative way to deliver a consistently exceptional and seamless customer experience.
o Act with honesty and integrity. Work with colleagues to create a respectful and motivating environment to attract, inspire and develop colleagues who share our purpose and values.
o Be proactive, visible and engaging. Provide effective banking hall coordination and assist customers with their essential everyday needs, providing everyday banking solutions where appropriate.
o Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Operational Risk Framework and internal company Policies and Standards
o Be confident in using technology and keep knowledge up to date on products and services across banking. Complete all appropriate mandatory and regulatory training.
Additional Accountabilities:

by understanding their short, medium and long term needs. Actively involve the right specialist at the right time to work as one team for the customer.
Create moments that matter for our customers by ensuring they have a full understanding of our proposition and helping them to make informed decisions and achieve their ambitions.
Proactively anticipate situations to prevent complaints. Confidently manage complex and emotive customer issues.
Organise your own time, effectively manage your customer diary and react to periods of heavy customer footfall.
Have an extensive knowledge of products and services, understand our customer proposition across all channels and keep up to date with our competitor offerings.
Confidently make self-initiated contact with customers across all our segments, deepening relationships with customers by keeping in regular contact to help anticipate and plan for all their needs, and maintaining an extensive knowledge of our specialist areas.
Provide effective banking hall management, orchestrate the team and support colleagues to work
collaboratively and be empowered to consistently deliver high standards of customer service.
Demonstrate role model behaviours, taking a proactive role in coaching and mentoring colleagues across the
branch and wider community team.
Support the Branch leadership team to achieve the branch business plan by developing our external market and community profile.
Keep up to date on trends in the economy, the local market and social media to utilise this knowledge to educate customers.
*Please note – the business will look to authorise pre booked holiday as long as these are for short length of time due to the training period*
