This is a rare opportunity! As a Supply Chain professional with our client you will develop the purchasing and procurement activities of the business to attain “best value” across all materials, components and services.

This opportunity combines function and purpose, allowing you to have a visibly tangible impact on the business whilst also allowing you to improve on its environmental credentials.

This SME manufacturing business is looking for someone to establish a professional purchasing function looking after both direct and indirect spend but also championing sustainability within the business to achieve its net zero ambition for 2030.

The Candidate | What Are We Looking For?

Whilst we are looking for a procurement professional with an excellent background, if you are still studying for your CIPD it would be great to hear from you also. In addition, all training and sharing of best practice on sustainability will be provided, giving you additional skills to tackle future challenges within industry.

To be considered you need to be able demonstrate the following:

• Previous experience of developing purchasing processes and systems in a manufacturing business.
• Experience of running professional sourcing, tender, audit and contract award processes.
• Previous experience of buying materials (mostly metals), consumables, equipment and energy.
• A desire or passion to improve the environment.
