Purchasing Manager

Salary: £55,200 – £61,200 per year

My client is a well-established leader within their field and they are looking to recruit a highly motivated, high achieving Group Purchasing Manager to manage all procurement activities. You will develop highly effective supplier relationships and supplier partnering and also manage and maintain appropriate stock levels and re-order points based on sales and consumption rates.

You will need to be able to demonstrate:

– An appropriate Procurement and Purchasing qualification (MCIPS or equivalent)

– Excellent communicator with strong written and presentation skills

– Track record of effective stock management and control

– Line management experience. 

– Able to manage and develop strategic supplier relationships both national and internationally

– Ability to work independently and co-operatively

– Have experience of meeting and negotiating with key suppliers

– Strong knowledge of demand planning and forecasting.

– Able to maintain optimum stock levels without disrupting production.

– Have an innovative and proactive approach to identifying new suppliers and products.

– Strong Excel and IT skills to ensure MIS systems are effectively maintained.
