Planning Manager (Manufacturing)

Salary: £60,000 – £61,200 per year

A global FMCG Manufacturer is currently recruiting for a Planning Manager to join their team and assume responsibility for all site-based planning for production and raw materials, overseeing a team of experienced planners. This Planning Manager will be project driven and lead a number of CI initiatives within the supply chain function whilst working collaboratively will other key business departments.

Planning Manager Responsibilities include:

Responsible to deliver short term production scheduling and materials resource planning, to successfully meet customer demand whilst managing operational and capacity constraints.
Oversee the long-term S&OP capacity planning for the business unit to support the successful delivery of key strategic projects.
Identify and implement improvement opportunities to the existing planning processes to ensure cost efficient production planning and improved product flow throughout the operation.
Playing a lead part in NPI work streams to promote early engagement and successful delivery.
Optimise production planning and working closing alongside manufacturing teams to ensure machine efficiency and availability is maintained.
Operate as the lead point of contact for Planning to internal Stakeholders, Suppliers and customers.
Provide leadership and direction in Production Planning and Scheduling to support the site in meeting its objectives.
Lead, develop and motivate the Planning team whilst ensuring they delivery their KPI’s and accountabilities

You will ideally be degree qualified / equivalent and have proven track record of overseeing a planning function and managing a team within a high paced FMCG Manufacturing environment. Excellent stakeholder engagement skills are essential for this role as well as a strong CI mind-set and the ability to lead projects to drive change.
This Planning Manager will also require excellent IT Skills and SAP experience.
