Application Technician

Salary: £30,000 – £40,800 per year

Are you a talented Application Technician who can turn their hand from research to reports for internal and external use, to setting test parameters through to customer training or developing process principles? This unique opportunity is genuinely varied and rewarding for an UK based manufacturer supplying internationally.

If you can bring you expertise to support this progressive, innovative design engineering team you’ll be working alongside them to help develop, test and make recommendations for applications for an expanding range of high-tech, high precision mechatronic products.

You and your role as the Application Technician:

* Qualifications: Apprentice trained with broad, hands-on experience of Mechanical Electrical/Electronic Engineering

* Test: You’ll provide a professional, quality service throughout the various stages of performing customer product sample research through to generating conclusions, recommendations and providing a report, You’ll be able to demonstrate proven experience of performing tests in a lab environment or occasionally at a costumer and be able to develop welding parameters

* Skills: multi-disciplinary core skills in engineering, methodological problem solving, statistics and application of various measurement tools and test equipment set-ups. Significant experience of DOE’s and able to develop process principles

* Product and Process: Specific product training will be available, then you’ll support the team to develop, modify, test and improve the products and processes, including report preparation for both internal and external communication.

* Materials: experience in material processing preferably welding of metals by resistance welding technology.

* About you: You’ll be IT literate able to use Microsoft Word & Excel, be structured and methodical, able to manage multiple projects at varying stages, be good with people and customers, a team player and demonstrate a real enthusiasm and ambition to make a difference. Some travel will be required within Europe and occasionally outside Europe when allowed.
