European Business Development Manager (home-based)

A Business Development Manager with good German language skills is sought by an automation solutions and component manufacturer to target the European marketplace.

THE JOB

You will be responsible for targeting the European market particularly Germany you will be responsible for identifying and following up sales prospects to secure new business in addition to managing portfolio of key accounts to ensure revenue streams are maximised across the company’s product range. You will proactively follow up customer enquiries and manage the full quotation process to ensure successful sales and also manage bids and tenders to ensure sales opportunities are maximised. You will maintain contact with key figures and organisations and specifying sectors of selected European markets to maintain and enhance the company’s market presence and brand awareness and update internal stakeholders with the progress of the European Sales function. In addition to this you will work closely with channel distributors and sales agents to provide product, pricing and technical information and ensure that suitable service levels are maintained.

THE CANDIDATE

The successful candidate will be a fluent German speaker with experience of selling products relating to automation, drives, bearings, power transmission components for materials handling equipment. You will need a proven track record of successful new business development, the ability to achieve sales targets and KPIs and converse with both technical personnel and senior managers within SME’s and corporates. You will also identify and attend trade shows and exhibitions and maintain the company’s presence at these and network with appropriate decision makers.
