Quality Inspector

Salary: £16.8 – £18 per hour

Our client is one of the biggest sheet metal subcontractors in the North-West operating from a state-of-the-art modern facility.

The equipment used is the latest and finest available in the industry providing our customers with a one-stop-shop solution supplying product painted and assembled products.

They are busy all year round and supply into various sectors including Retail, Aerospace, Lighting, Electronics and many more.

We are looking for a Quality Inspector / Continuous Improvement Lead.

The successful candidate has to:

– read engineering drawings and have an eye for detail.

– be confident and make sure your decisions lead to preventing Quality issues prior to shipping the product.

Ideally, you have Lean Manufacturing experience and at least 2 years of experience in a quality role.

Duties:

You own the Continuous Improvement funnel.

You check WIP throughout the factory in regular intervals (daily standard work), own the 8D process, and liaise with customers in regards to quality issues. You own the QA KPIs and training plans.

You report to the Production Manager with ample opportunity to grow within the role
