Salary: £30,000 – £42,000 per year
We have an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Estimator to join a dynamic thriving contractor based in Eastleigh.
This position will be working as part of the commercial team under the Estimating Director to assist with the pricing of tenders including completing sub contractor price comparisons and adjudication of subcontractor quotations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the tender submission and preparation of tender documents.
- Production of bill of quantities – a full understanding of all elements is not a necessity but a good understanding of the principles SMM7/NMR2 would be required.
- Splitting tender documents into subcontract packages.
- Liaising with supply chain for chasing quotes etc.
The ideal person for this role will have some experience in a similar role as an Assistant Estimator or perhaps working as a Quantity Surveyor and keen to make the move over to estimating.
