Engineering Planning Estimator

Salary: £42,000 – £48,000 per year

Total Vehicle Solutions Group are experiencing a huge period of growth and have a fantastic order book for 2022 already.

With four sites based across the UK, and over 50 years of combined trading history within the commercial vehicle market, they are synonymous with the design, manufacture and delivery of a wide range of solutions to the construction, logistics and commercial fleet market.

As part of a growing technical team, the Production Planner/Estimator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the manufacturing processes undertaken are in line with the customer’s expectations, making sure they understand their specific technical requirements and that TVS Products and solutions meet them. 

Working closely with the design and NPD teams, you will be responsible for creating accurate BOM’s and estimations on current and new designs, and be part of the team leading engineering development for existing and new products.

Ideally qualified to at least an HND in an engineering discipline, and with 3-5 years direct experience in the development of complex manufacturing processes required in the production of commercial vehicles or special purpose machinery, you will also be able to confirm design integrity through analysis and be familiar with DFMEA processes and advise of any required design changes.

TVS Group are a fast-paced organisation, with ambitious plans for this year and next, and several companywide modernisation projects currently ongoing. As consequence, individuals who can be dynamic and work without supervision are preferred, mainly due to the need for them to be able to manage several customers at once. Managing multiple customer queries and orders, with the ability to build rapport is key, but also the maturity of when to escalate an issue internally is imperative.
