Finance Business Partner

Salary: £30,000 – £31,200 per year

We are currently looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner or Commercial Finance Analyst to join our Finance. This role would suit an individual with a natural desire to be accountable for keeping their business looking and moving forward and to act as a trusted adviser to our management team. We will look to this role to provide insight based on the analysis of operational performance, industry dynamics, macro-economic trends and the competitor landscape to assist us in decision making and improving our business.

What we would like from you:

* The ability to improve the impact, and understanding, of financial reporting on business performance. Ensuring that the value of data presented is clearly understood and inspires action in the relevant stakeholder within the leadership team.

* Supporting the Finance Director to create strategic growth plans including constructing the annual financial plan and periodic forecasts, reporting of cost saving initiatives and ‘shining a light’ into dark corners of the business and challenging overlooked areas of the organisation.

* To work closely with the business and key stakeholders to providing effective commercial procedures, and initiating change, to ensure key operational, commercial and financial targets are delivered.

* The ability to build strong relationships with all senior managers and their teams. Key to this is a logical and tenacious approach, taking everything one step at a time, anything can happen when driving change with problems stretching from incorrect data to uncooperative stakeholders but the ability to be patient and persuasive is what makes one a great finance business partner.

Desired Skills:

* Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant, either ACA, ACCA or CIMA, preferably with FP&A experience

* Excellent communicator with strong people skills with the ability to influence and negotiate in a commercial and sales driven environment

* Commercial awareness and a solid understanding of the elements that build a B2B business including ROI of Stock, Customer Demographics, Market Trends and Cost to Serve

* Able to take decisive action with incomplete or ambiguous data and comfortable being held accountable for the outcome

* A true problem solver with the ability to hold a problem and see it through to resolution

* A track record of adding significant value
