Site Manager – Steelwork

Site Manager vacancy in Cambridge. Excellent opportunity to join a well-established structural steelwork fabrication business on a permanent PAYE basis. Excellent salary, benefits, and company vehicle – rewarding career with further career development potential.

Projects undertaken vary but typically include steel structures/steel framed buildings that range in size up to 500(T). Smaller bespoke projects such as stairs, balustrades, mezzanine floors etc are also undertaken.

Site Manager duties include:

•Management and coordination of all company and sub contract site personnel.

•Planning and coordination of site works.

•Site visits prior to and during erection/installation.

•Ensuring site teams have the required information, plant and equipment to carry our their duties.

•Manage site operations and teams via Site Supervisors to ensure work is carried on to plan.

•Resolving issues/queries and monitoring site progress in relation to expected programme of works.

•Ensuring work is carried on in line with Health and Safety procedures.

•RAMS and lifting plans.

•Regularly communicating with the internal Project Managers.

Site Manager requirements:

•Good knowledge of structural steelwork is essential. (secondary/architectural metalwork knowledge is advantageous).

•Previous experience working as a Site Manager/Construction Manager, Site Supervisor or similar would be highly advantageous.

•Relevant tickets ie SMSTS.

•Must be an Appointed Person (AP) and hold current CSCS card.

Must hold a current UK driving license.
