Our client has two main campuses at Ashington and Kirkley Hall and centres at Hexham and Berwick.
They offer hundreds of full-time and part-time courses, work with students aged 14-18, mature students, higher education students and employers from numerous industry sectors.
The main skill areas are Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Welding & Fabrication, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, Plumbing and Motor Vehicle. First Diploma and National Certificate/Diploma courses are offered together with a range of National Vocational Qualifications offered from level 1 to 4, as well as offering HNC in Engineering.
The Engineering area has developed strong links with local industry and offers Apprenticeships in Engineering Manufacture and Maintenance, Motor Vehicle and Welding, as well as a growing programme of full cost courses, to meet the needs of individual employers.
Successful candidates will hold an appropriate Level 3 qualification in welding & Fabrication or equivalent or significant relevant experience of supporting learners. We are looking for an excellent communicator who can effectively implement individual learning plans and has the ability to instruct students in study skills and career guidance.
