Job Title: Welder/Fabrication

Location: Luton, Bedfordshire

Salary: £33,960 – £36,504 per annum with Holidays, Pension and Parking

Working hours: Monday – Friday 7:30am – 4pm

An exciting opportunity has arisen with a well-established and reputable engineering company that specialises in the Design and Manufacture of Ground Support Equipment. My clients are offering a stable and lucrative career in their business for an experienced Welder/ Fabricator to join their growing team.

Responsibilities

• The Fabricator / Welder should be able to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Previous experience of fabricating and welding on light, medium and heavy industrial products
• As a Fabricator / Welder you should have previous experience of MIG and TIG welding to a high standard.
• Previous experience of fabricating and welding pipe work is essential
• Ensuring machine safety guidelines are being followed.
• Being responsible for the production and scheduling of work.
• Monitoring product standards and supporting quality-control procedures.
• Maximising productivity, minimising downtime of machines.
• Providing daily/weekly/monthly performance reports and analysis as required.
• Ensuring the highest standards of housekeeping are maintained throughout the machine shop.

Skills

• Previous experience with MIG and TIG welding
• background and general all-round knowledge/experience.
• Self-disciplined and reliable.
• Excellent inter-personnel communication skills.
• Enthusiastic, determined, self-disciplined and reliable.
• Manufacture of development components in a tool room environment.
